WASAC Membership

WASAC membership is open to clubs involved with all sub-aqua sport and recreational activities within Wales. Although we do reserve the right, in exceptional cases, to refuse membership if our committee decides it is necessary.

We urge all Welsh Sub-aqua Clubs to join us; as by giving us your opinion and the benefit of your experience, it will help strengthen our voice when it comes to addressing various areas of concern with national and local organisations, as well as strengthening our arm when it comes to promoting and supporting sub-aqua activity throughout Wales.

Would all members of Sub-aqua clubs and underwater hockey clubs please check with their committees to ensure that their club is a member of WASAC, so that they can share in the benefits that WASAC membership can bring.

Currently, with the support of BSAC and the sports council. the membership fee is set at a nominal £1.00 per club per annum, so would not be beyond the budget of even the most cash-strapped of us. All you have to do is contact Colin Deller, our treasurer and membership secretary who will need various details about your organisation.

Grants

WASAC is recognised by the sports council as being the governing body for sub aqua sport in Wales, and the sports council has made a stipulation that membership of WASAC is a pre-requisite to any sub aqua club that wishes to re-apply for a community chest grant for training purposes. We are currently negotiating with the sports council regarding the allocation of grants and will update this website as soon as possible.
